For the music video of Ladyhawke's track "SUNDAY DRIVE," we devised a split narrative approach, intercutting between performance footage of Ladyhawke tied up in the boot of a car and found footage/CCTV-style footage of Ladyhawke being mysteriously followed in her daily life. The overarching concept aimed to evoke a surreal, insidious, and ominous atmosphere, heightening the sense of always looking over one's shoulder and mounting dread. The video builds towards a crescendo, culminating in a surreal twist when the identity of the kidnapper is revealed. We sought to achieve this through the use of overlay techniques, lurid colour grading, frenetic imagery, and simulated double exposure, creating a nightmarish feel to the visuals. In executing the concept, we meticulously crafted sequences utilising a variety of overlay techniques, lurid colour grading, and frenetic imagery to amplify the surreal and nightmarish tone of the video. Through simulated double exposure and looping/repeating shots, we further disoriented the viewer, enhancing the feeling of unease and unpredictability. The split narrative approach allowed us to juxtapose Ladyhawke's performance with the tension-filled found footage, creating a dynamic and visually compelling juxtaposition. We carefully selected locations and shot compositions to enhance the sense of mystery and suspense, while the frenetic editing style added to the overall intensity of the video.

The result is an energetic, exciting, and visually arresting music video that perfectly complements the track it represents. By immersing viewers in a surreal and ominous narrative, we were able to evoke a range of emotions, from tension and unease to exhilaration and curiosity. The video's synergy with the track enhances the listening experience, drawing viewers deeper into Ladyhawke's world and leaving a lasting impression. Overall, the music video succeeds in capturing the essence of "SUNDAY DRIVE" while delivering a visually striking and emotionally resonant experience for audiences.
